The Mystery of the fall season


Listen for the Silence of the falling leaves.
Venture and tread to places yet unseen.
Steal away into the evening like thieves,
but take heed for the Princess and her Queen.

For they are the vanguards,
of the Pathway that ends,
that final Song of the bards,
the place where the Road no longer bends.

It is to them to shield the way bestowed,
from travelers whose journey is long and old.
A reminder they keep of this terrible forebode,
to keep out of a great Darkness untold.

A warning that you are to near,
a gentle voice whispers clearly,
turn back from the path unclear,
and return to your Friends cheerfully.

For the mystery of the fall season,
will remain behind a quiet shroud.
The secret of life’s Very reason,
a Reprieve from the darkness allowed.
